If for some reason I had to get rid of this forum and re-make it again...meaning losing all the accounts and posts... would you re-join it at the new place?
I may be doing this but I need feedback. I want control over the ads and such and using myfreeforum is a little limiting as to what I can do. Of course, I'd do things to make it worth it. I'd give the forum a bit of a re-design. Plus I'd be able to add my own smileys and an avatar gallery.
What do you think? All feedback is appreciated.

That's wonderful! I wonder if others feel the same.
As for more reasons why this is a possibility, I copied my post from WOW!Homeschoolers:

As far as I know, Wow Homeschoolers and Higher Ground would both be reached by going to highergroundfamilyministries.com/forum. Agape girls would be highergroundfamilyministries.com/agapegirls/forum. Thus, everything would be "self-contained" and much easier for myself and Mumzeemo to control.
On the downside, members would have to re-register and start over; but some of the important topics and posts from the current forums would be moved as an "archive" so you can see them on the new forums. The old forums would be made "read-only" and have a large link at the top telling how to get to the new site.
As for the effects it has on being able to control the forums more, we would be able to have our own avatar gallery, install our own smileys, etc. Also, we can completely get rid of those annoying ads you see on every page, OR place smaller ads that would support us, instead of supporting myfreeforum.org, which they do now.
There are other downsides and benefits but I don't want to make this post too long. Just thought I'd let everyone know why we're thinking of making this change.
Myfreeforum.org is a great service but I feel we've grown out of having to use a free forum website. |
