And how do you let people who are not Christian and going through hard times know that God still loves them?

I think a good way is to just be there for them. If they know you're a Christian and they see you as a good example, they might get thinking. Also, read the Bible, tell them scriptures that pertain to their situation. At least, it's worth a try.
